Bush Senior Undergoes Hip Replacement Surgery

Washington: Former US president George Bush has undergone a hip replacement surgery and is resting comfortably//.

The surgery, which took place Wednesday, went well, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota said on its website Thursday.

Bush, 80, is the father of the current president. His surgery came two days after he delivered a eulogy at the state funeral of former president Gerald Ford, who died Dec 26 at the age of 93.
