Burning Fat, the Laser Way

According to the research conducted by the Professor Rox Anderson who is a dermatologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital it is said that fat can be burnt using laser//. Scientists in the US are developing this latest technique in which the body fat can be burnt down without affecting the underlying skin.

They say that this can be further used to treat cellulite, acne and heart disease. The professor has experimented this laser using pig fat and skin samples. The mode of action is that it uses the laser uses the free electron to heat up the fat and melt it down. The melted fat is then broken down further in to its constituents and is excreted from the body.

Professor Anderson, will tell the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery the usefulness of its selective photothermolysis. It can be used for varied medical applications in the future. But further studies are necessary to probe and tap the usefulness of the technique.
