British women more irritable than men at daybreak!!

British women have been found to be more irritable than their male counterparts in the morning in a study conducted by the Sleep Council in Britain. //The study revealed that women were grumpier than men when they woke up and they remained in that state of mind for longer than men.

In the survey, 13% of the women were in a bad temper while waking up and remain in that mood for up to 4 hours when compared to 10% of the men.

Jessica Alexander, a spokeswoman for the council said, "Many more men than women claim to get a good seven nights sleep a week, so perhaps it is not surprising that more women than men get out of bed on the wrong side."

The reason for the grumpiness was given as a disturbed night by 40% of the women and stress and worry were the reasons given by 24% of them

According to the study, Londoners were the most irritable. 7nights of good sleep was experienced by just 7 % of the people questioned in the North East and Yorkshire. The study was conducted on 2,105 adults.
