Body talk: Accept and appreciate the way you are, for a healthier you!

New York: Dissatisfied with ones own body, to the extent of comparing with others is not a sign of good health say Ohio State University researchers.// Women, who do not complain about their body and harbor a need to change the way they look, are more likely to eat healthy because of intuitive guidance, rather than the dissatisfied lot who resort to fancy diets and weight loss methods.

Intuitive eaters eat after understanding and responding to the requirements of the body, rather than eating with emotion. They don’t take their bodies to be mere objects of desire, but more of a facilitator for action, so the focus is entirely on how the body functions rather than how it looks. Self-esteem, being happy with oneself by accepting the way one is promotes healthy eating, which ensures a healthy body.
