Bird flu test conducted in dead pigeon found in Ethiopia

Ethiopia is facing a new threat of bird flu panic fallowing reports of a pigeon dead. The Animal and Health ministry is undergoing tests for isolating// and identification of the virus responsible for the pigeon dead. Though there were no earlier reports on isolation of the virulent H5N1 strain of bird flu in Africa. The authorities are confident that the strain is not spread from other countries through migratory birds, as Ethiopia is not situated in the migratory birds route.
