Agriculture Minister RIA Novosti said that bird flu outbreak has been reported at a poultry farm in the Krasnodar Territory in southern Russia// .

The avian flu in Russia was detected in wild fowls and migratory birds.

It was detected in six Russian regions of the Republics of Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, Chechnya, Kalmykia, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories.

This was a confirmed report as the reports were given by well trained officials of the ministry who checked the farms.

The virus affected domestic poultry in Dagestan, Kalmykia, and the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories.

In the Krasnodar Territory, a large poultry farm called Tbilisi is under the suspicion of the main cause of spread of bird flu.

Various precautionary measures are underway to help the citizens. The ministry has asked the people in these areas not to panic and have asked to strictly follow the precautionary measures.
