Benevolence Linked To Laughter

A new study claims that laughter brings out the humanitarian facet and the obliging nature from people besides being an excellent therapeutic aid//. This research was conducted by Mark van Vugt and his team from the University of Kent.

People who were involved in this study were made to watch a hilarious or a serious video followed by a game with total strangers. While playing the game they were given money which they could either invest in private fund or a group fund.

The money that was put in the private fund will be given back to them and the one that was put in the group fund will be doubled and split among the group members equally. It was found that people who watched a funny video invested in group fund and the ones that watched a serious one opted for private fund.

Mark van Vugt, said that this study will help in increasing the funds for charities and organizations.
