Becks Confesses Being Homesick, Craves for Pie and Mash

Former England star David Beckham is craving for pie and mash, and missing visits to British pubs.

According to The Scotsman, Becks recently confessed to being homesick following his move to the United States.

In an ITV1 documentary to be shown on Tuesday at 9 p.m., Becks admits: "Obviously, I will miss my family and my friends, but I will also miss things like English pubs. I will also miss pie and mash. It's something I love eating when I come back to London.

"Someone told me that there was a couple of pie-and-mash shops in Santa Barbara, so I'll go searching for them."

The TV show, David Beckham: New Beginnings, follows the former England captain as he settles into his new life as an LA Galaxy player.

The Beckham camp will be hoping it gets a better reaction than his wife Victoria's own show, which aired last week and was slated by the critics. Victoria Beckham was filmed shopping, sunbathing and pouting, while telling the cameras: "It's exhausting being fabulous."
