A survery commissioned by Durex, the multinational condom manufacturer, reveals that Aussies have lost their sense of adventure when it comes to sex. //The percentage of Australians enjoying sex is declining. As much as 60 per cent of them have said they are not enjoying sex much these days.

Things are not any better for the rest of the world either, with just 44% of all respondents claiming to be completely sexually satisfied.

Incidetnally as many as 61 per cent of the Indian respondents said they were fully satisfied with their sex lives.

But it should be galling for Australians to be told that New Zealanders seem to be having better sex lives, they are slightly more satisfied, spend more time on sex, and are at it more times per year.

But Aussies can be happy that they achieve orgasm more frequently than their Kiwi neighbours.

Also they can claim to be better in the bedroom than the British. Aussies spend more time on sex per session and per year, with more orgasms.

Things are looking up in Nigeria, where 67 per cent have fulfilling sex lives. In Poland the corresponding figure is 54 per cent.

It seems lacklustre Aussies are stressed-out and tired, while a similar number (41 per cent) want more tenderness and romance to get warmed up.

More than three in 10 of them want to inject more fun into their sex lives, with role-playing and sexual fantasies topping the wish lists.

They have sex on average 106 times a year, slightly up on the average global figure of 103. They also devote 17 minutes to a lovemaking session, a minute under the average. Unhappiest in the cot are the Japanese where just 15% are satisfied, and those in France, long since dubbed the country of romance, where only one in four are fully satisfied.

The Durex Global Sexual Wellbeing Survey questioned more than 26,000 respondents in 26 countries.
