British singer Amy Winehouse has confessed that she is has a 'terrible problem' with booze, which has replaced drugs .
Speaking at her homecoming show in Dublin Castle pub in Camden, north London, the singer added that she doesn't know if the media has exaggerated her problem.
She added that when she is sloshed she is terribly so, and that maybe it is due to 'boredom'.
"My drinking has replaced weed; I still have a problem. Well, I have had problems with booze...Do the papers exaggerate the problem? Perhaps, I don't know... the thing is, when I get drunk I'm a terrible drunk. I don't know where that comes from. Boredom?" the Daily Mail quoted her, as saying.
Winehouse said that writing songs is a type of therapy for her to deal with her problem.
"It is a kind of therapy. Sometimes I can't feel good about a situation until I've got a song out of it," she said.
The soul star added that she is not a self-piteous person, and that she will not talk about a problem if she cannot sort it out by herself.
"I'm not a "poor me" kind of person at all. A problem is a problem and if I couldn't sort it out myself I wouldn't talk about it," she said.
