While rumours are rife that Christina Aguilera is an expectant mum, this time the singer/songwriter's estranged dad Fausto has confirmed the reports.
The grandfather-to-be insisted that he was very excited about the baby and was happy for his daughter.
"I'm so excited. I want Christina to achieve all her goals. I wish her all the happiness in the world," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
According to a source, the 26-year-old singer is very 'thrilled' and has become very health conscious.
"She's thrilled. She's feeling wonderful and taking good care of herself. She's been planning this for a while, so her health is better than it's ever been," the source said.
The source revealed that the 'Back To Basics' singer hopes to follow the footsteps of successful women who have managed their careers and kids well.
"Christina's seen women with great careers, like Gwen Stefani, also raise great kids, and she feels as if she can follow their example," the source added.
Earlier it was reported that the singer was three months pregnant after she was seen announcing the arrival of her baby to friends.
The 'Stripped' singer has however kept mum about her expected motherhood and fuelled the pregnancy rumours.
Aguilera is pregnant with hubby Jordan Bratman's child, and the reports came out when the couple visited New York's Maternal Fetal Medicine Association, which is known for its state-of-the-art ultrasounds and expertise in high-risk pregnancies.
The singer married marketing manager Bratman in November 2005 after dating for three years, and this will be the couple's first child.
