African Children Benefited Through GAVI Programmes

Millions of children around the world more so in Africa have been benefited by GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization) programmes.// This programme enables the children to receive vaccines at a reduced price.

This was revealed by Microsoft founder Bill Gates at the World Economic Forum which was held last week at Switzerland. According to him, the availability of vaccines at a reduced rate is a boon to children from African nations.

GAVI has the patronage of seventeen nations across the world. 138 million children were the beneficiaries of this programme for disease like Hepatitis B and yellow fever. According to Mr.Gates, GAVI is sure to touch many lives across the world in the coming years.
