Advertisements to Assuage Bird Flu Concerns

Washington: With a view to appeasing the public about bird flu and to allay unwarranted fears, the government has resorted to using the powerful medium of advertisements aired over radio // and television to drive home the message that chicken is safe to consume, if it is properly cooked.

The advertisements convey the methods of ensuring safety to poultry, in the event of the virus spreading to the U.S.

Asia and Africa have witnessed the ordeal of containing the bird flu outbreak, which has fortunately spared the United States. These advertisements are a way of preparing the people of United States, in case of a bird-flu eventuality.
