11 Year Old Attains Motherhood And The Teenage Boy Responsible For This Is Prosecuted

An eleven year old girl becomes pregnant because of having unprotected sex with a 15 year old boy. The boy is charged with rape keeping in mind the age of the girl//. The girl is from West Lothian and is now considered to become one of the UK's youngest mothers. She said that she was eager and looking forward to have her child. Green MSP Patrick Harvie and other such campaigners have asked for better teenage sexual health strategy in Scotland.

The girl hopes to give birth to a boy and said that she will be able to cope with her pregnancy as she has a lot of practice looking after young children. She also said that she occasionally suffers from a sore back and sore ribs but overall she enjoys her pregnancy. Her mother who is 34-year-old said that she is not ashamed of her daughter’s pregnancy but infact she is proud. The girl is also known to smoke up to 20 cigarettes a day. But Mr Harvie, co-convenor of the Scottish Parliament's cross-party group on sexual health, said that the country is suffering from a lot of myths and sex education is quite patchy in this country. The need of the hour is a much more comprehensive sex education.
