Singapore, Singapore (PRWEB) August 9, 2009 -- Ulthera is set to revolutionalize the arena of non-surgical facelift. This breakthrough device has the potential to upend the non-surgical facial rejuvenation market.

Ulthera joins the nonablative cosmetic surgery fray with a high frequency ultrasound device that enables physicians to both visualize skin layers in real time and to precisely deliver ultrasound energy to the areas they target. The ultrasound heats targeted areas to trigger new tissue production, but it does not damage the epidermis or intervening layers of skin it passes through enroute to the target. This means that Ulthera is able to target the facial skin from within without causing any downtime or redness to the surface tissue.

All skin types including dark skins can be treated. This is a boon for Asian skin types which have typically been difficult to treat as they are more prone to pigmentary problems after ablative lasers. With Ulthera, there is little risk of burning facial skin or causing pigmentary problems even in dark skin types.

The Sloane Clinic is the pioneer for Ulthera and its signature treatment Ultherapy in Singapore. It introduced Ulthera in its clinics in July 2009 and has since treated hundreds of patients with good results. In a split face treatment study conducted by the clinic, 10 patients were treated with one single treatment of Ulthera and only on one side of the face; the results were then monitored over 30 days. 80% of the patients reported significant lifting and tightening of the skin of the treated area compared to the untreated side. 20% reported moderate tightening effects.
