Singapore to Host Inaugural Healthcare Travel Exhibition & Congress

SINGAPORE, June 4 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- For the first time in Asia, the medical tourism industry will have a unique platform to gain business insight and forge strategic alliances at the Healthcare Travel Exhibition and Congress 2009. According to market analysts, the medical tourism industry worldwide is growing at 15-20% annually, and the Asian market alone will generate revenue of more than US$4.4 billion by 2012. As the region's premier medical tourism event, Healthcare Travel Exhibition and Congress 2009 will give healthcare professionals and decision makers access to industry trends, best practices, and thought leadership to tap into Asia's growing market.

Organised by Informa Life Sciences, Healthcare Travel Exhibition and Congress 2009 focuses on the needs of the medical tourism value chain. Held from 28 to 30 June 2009 at The Fairmont Hotel, Singapore, the issues covered will range from marketing, insurance, patient care, service quality, telemedicine, post-operative care to travel.

A highlight of the event is the two-day Healthcare Travel Congress, which will feature more than 30 CEOs and industry luminaries from institutions like Singhealth, National Healthcare Group, Raffles Medical Group and Parkway Group Healthcare from Singapore, US' Mayo Clinic, Apollo Hospitals Group from India, and Bumrungrad International in Thailand.
