Support of local communities in California's Central Valley

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Satellite Healthcare, one of the nation's first and leading providers of kidney dialysis services and a major sponsor of nephrology research, today announced their participation at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) walk in California's Central Valley. The community event will be held Saturday, May 30 at McLeod Lake Park in the City of Stockton. Satellite Healthcare's commitment to kidney health will be represented by several staff assisting with health screenings and staff and family participating in the 5K walk. Satellite Healthcare supports the importance of the NKF's education and awareness building to the public about kidney disease.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects more than 26 million Americans, with another 20 million having risk factors for developing the disease. Satellite Healthcare is an innovative organization that puts patient wellness and kidney education at the heart of treating CKD, presenting patients with all the prevention and treatment options available to them.
