R&B Recording Artist / King of Hancock Park Norwood Young Set to Launch Reality Documentary and Autobiography

Young is now embarking on an Abuse Awareness Campaign to create dialogue regarding breaking the silence as it pertains to abuse based on his reality documentary, GETTING BACK TO MY ME. A must see!

Young’s doc is proving to be hot on the wire as he is receiving hundreds of daily responses from fans, supporters and strangers many of which are coming forth with various testimonies of abuse and gratitude for this honest and sometimes graphic portrayal of hope. Those who have seen this in private screenings, walk in reserved, and always exit affected emotionally. The documentary is also underscored by a uplifting song written by Young also called, "Getting back to my me," that is sure to become an all time inspirational classic.

In addition to the identity quest, there were many obstacles that remained after stardom, such as racial prejudice endured after he purchased a home in ritzy Hancock Park. Controversy plagued the historic home with him being one of the very few first African Americans in the ritzy neighborhood. After he decorated his front lawn with twenty replicas of world renowned “Michelangelo’s David” Statues, his journey consisted of enduring countless experiences of racial prejudice even in the millennium. Norwood would spend the next thirteen years fighting for his freedom of expression as uptight neighbors tried to get him to get him to take the statues down or better yet move out. The late Honorable Johnny Cochran pro bono, represented Norwood in the cases brought him and won.
