Pennsylvania's Newest Power Companies Right in Your Neighbor's Back Yard
Date:5/22/2010

Suntricity Power announces two new residential solar energy systems in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The systems are the first operating systems in the area, and also are being registered with the grid as energy suppliers for the region. The projects were primarily funded through the Pennsylvania Sunshine Fund and Federal Tax Credits.

West Chester, PA (PRWEB) May 22, 2010 -- Bensalem has become the latest home for two new residential Suntricity Power Stations, the two installations are the first for Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Suntricity Power designed and installed the systems and helped the homeowners secure grants from the Pennsylvania Sunshine Program, which funded about 30% of the system costs, with another 30% coming from federal credits.

The two solar energy system consists of 66 panels and 66 microinverters to match. The systems will cover most of the energy usage for the two residences, and the extra power will be put onto the grid to help power some of their neighbors homes. Aside from off setting electric bills, the systems will also generate an additional $5000-$6000 per year of income from their Renewable Energy Credits. Suntricity Power also handles public utility registrations, so both systems will be registered energy providers to the Mid-Atlantic regional grid. "We are very excited to continue adding individual energy providers to the United States Grid network, it is about time that every American has the opportunity to profit from energy, not just over sea oil companies", stated Mark Hald, Project Coordinator, with Suntricity Power. With an expected combined production of 17,000 kilowatt hours per year, the system will reduce 39,390 pounds of carbon dioxide which is equivalent to recycling 390,000 cans of soda, and planting over two acres of trees.

The popularity of Suntricity Power and its power stations has taken off over the last 3 years with the
