myMEDHoliday.com, the world’s leading source of medical tourism information, launches a series of blog posts online to highlight its trip to the 2nd annual Malaysia International Healthcare Travel Expo (MIHTE), an invitation from the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) held in Kuala Lumpur from the 17th to 23rd of October 2013. myMEDHoliday was invited as credentialed media representatives along with other international reporters, writers, bloggers and web portals from all over the world for a “media fam trip”, an all-expenses paid trip used to promote and showcase the advanced state of Malaysia’s medical tourism ability.

MIHTE 2013 was the second annual Malaysian Healthcare Travel Expo, providing a platform and opportunity for healthcare travel industry players to come together to create powerful opportunities to exhibit an array of innovations from medical science and technology and for industry players to connect and strengthen existing ties. The event held from the 20th to 22nd was a huge success with over 80 exhibitors and featured keynote speakers from top business leaders, workshops on pressing industry topics, breakout sessions, and a Gala awards dinner.

The fam trip delegates were given inside access to some of the country’s top medical facilities before the expo kicked off, starting with the KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital in Johor Bahru, then the Regency Specialist Hospital, both popular medical facilities for international visitors seeking everything to knee replacements, fertility treatment, cosmetic surgery and orthopedics in Malaysia. Delegates also got a chance to sample some of Malaysia’s exciting diverse tourist attractions, including shopping, sightseeing, dining and a trip to Legoland Malaysia. After the expo was finishe
