Date:8/1/2009

Dr. Laurence Barsh, Founder and President of Snoring Isn't Sexy, LLC will be joining dental sleep medicine's top sleep and dental sleep professionals at Somnomed's first annual symposium in Hawaii August 4-6, 2009.

(Vocus) August 1, 2009 -- Dr. Laurence Barsh, Founder and President of Snoring Isn't Sexy, LLC will be joining dental sleep medicine's top sleep and dental sleep professionals at Somnomed's first annual symposium in Hawaii August 4-6, 2009.

The speakers feature the well-known expert on obstructive sleep apnea, Dr. John Remmers, MD. , and Dr. Barry Glassman, Dr. Kent Smith, Dr. Leopoldo Correa, Dr. Susanne Schwarting, Dr. Daniel Taché and Dr. Laurence Barsh.

"Because of the prevalence of snoring and sleep apnea, and because of the serious medical problems associated with both these conditions, it is our belief at Snoring Isn't Sexy, LLC that the dental profession has an obligation to the health of the public, to promote the fact that dentistry offers an alternative to CPAP where it is medically indicated." said Dr. Barsh. "The fact is that there are many patients who cannot tolerate their prescribed CPAP machines or who would prefer an alternative to CPAP. Oral appliances provide that alternative but the public is not yet aware of the fact that specially trained dentists offer solutions."

Dr. Barsh will be speaking to the seminar participants about the fact that snoring and sleep apnea are fields where the public is unaware that dentistry plays a vital role. Because of this, marketing to the millions of potential undiagnosed patients and those who cannot tolerate CPAP requires a cooperative marketing effort from multiple practices. Barsh will introduce a new concept in mark
