International SOS Awarded TRICARE Overseas Program Contract

TREVOSE, Pa., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- International SOS Assistance, Inc. today was awarded the contract to provide comprehensive health care support services to the Department of Defense TRICARE Overseas Program. Since 1998, International SOS has supported TRICARE in ensuring that active duty service members and their families receive the highest quality care, no matter where their work or travels take them outside the United States and Puerto Rico.

Under this new contract, which includes a 10-month transition period and five one-year option periods, International SOS will assist TRICARE Area Offices and Military Treatment Facility Commanders in the implementation of an integrated health care delivery system combining the military's direct medical care system with International SOS support services to nearly half a million of enrolled members, deployed personnel, travelers and retirees outside the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

With provider networks in place in all TRICARE remote locations outside of Puerto Rico, International SOS is working to improve the delivery of quality health care to military families. International SOS has a "boots on the ground" approach to superior customer service and network management through dedicated TRICARE customer service centers in Philadelphia, London, Sydney and Singapore.
