Organization cites disruptive innovation, job creation and visionary leadership in award decision.
Colorado Technology Association (CTA) has awarded iTriage CEO and co-founder, Dr. Peter Hudson, with the organization’s most prestigious honor, “Entrepreneur of the Year,” during last night’s APEX 2013 Conference Awards Dinner.
The Technology Entrepreneur of the Year award recognizes entrepreneurs who are innovative, determined and pursue many means to that end. Whether it’s raising capital, finding strategic partners, differentiating their operations, or negotiating unconventional deals, this award was given to Peter Hudson who CTA believes demonstrated he is not afraid to propose unique ideas and strategies to be successful.
The award recognizes Dr. Hudson’s performance in six areas:
“This award acknowledges Pete’s incredibly creative long-term vision, his ability to overcome obstacles that stand in the way, and his collaborative leadership style,” said Dr. Wayne Guerra, chief medical officer and co-founder, iTriage.
Founded in 2008, iTriage’s free consumer healthcare technology has been downloaded nearly 10 million times and is used 50 million times each year – helping two people every second. The five-year-old company maintains a unique startup culture and drives innovative efforts with parent company, Aetna, which encourages nimble, aggressive growth both in talent and in product offerings.
“The quality of nominations we received was outstanding and Peter Hudson was a stand out with his work through iTriage,” says CTA CEO Erik Mitisek. “At CTA we wanted to recognize the best for entrepreneur for the year and Peter deserves it.”
