HEALTHeCAREERS Network Renews $15,000 Scholarship Pledge

Contribution provides funding for continuing education.

Englewood, CO (Vocus) October 20, 2009 -- Aaron K. Sarff is one of 10 radiologic technologists to receive a recent $1,500 scholarship to continue healthcare training, and it could not have come at a better time.

His newborn son just underwent major heart surgery.

"While the scholarship won't cover all of the remaining cost of my program, it covers enough to help me sleep at night and lets me focus on taking care of my family," Sarff said.

HEALTHeCAREERS Network pledged the same amount last year to provide radiologic technologists with funds to complete an associate, bachelor's or graduate degree, as well as additional certification in medical imaging, radiation therapy or medical dosimetry.

The monetary awards are administered through the ASRT Education and Research Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), and also funded by other corporate sponsors such as the Healthcare Providers Service Organization.
