Founders of Running Skirts Inc. Set to Launch New Maternity Line
Date:7/13/2009

SAN DIEGO, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Runners take your mark. Get pregnant. Go! No longer are pregnant women sitting on the sidelines. More women are exercising through their pregnancies and medical experts are applauding these strides in prenatal fitness.

That's why Runningskirts.com founders Christy and Cindy, who ran during her entire pregnancy in 2007, created the "Fit Momma Skirt," among their now-expanding line of maternity fitness wear set to launch this month at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, Maternityrunningskirts.com and in stores this fall.

The maternity running and fitness skirt, already available, is mirrored after the increasingly popular Runningskirts.com skirt. Tested and approved by an Olympic Gold Medalist, it has a special built-in belly-supporting waistband designed to go the distance of all three trimesters. For maximum comfort, this style has attached compression shorts underneath and is cut a bit roomier, a bit longer than our traditional line of running skirts. The skirt, made of lightweight, quick-drying fabric, can comfortably accommodates a growing belly with its extra wide waistband that can be worn up high over your entire belly or can be folded down to sit lower on the hips, providing below-the-belly support. The A-line silhouette of the maternity skirt hugs all the right curves, leaving traditional maternity workout wear---a husband's old sweats--- in the dust.
