The evening successfully represented the GLAAD organization and worked towards their mission of promoting and ensuring the fair and accurate representation of LGBT individuals and media events. The GLAAD organization recognizes and honors the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. GLAAD works to promote positive images of gay individuals through television, newspaper, and all other media outlets. GLAAD strives to eliminate homophobia and discrimination against gay individuals.
