Big Top Cupcake(TM) Brand Awarded With Guinness World Record For World's Largest Cupcake

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Global TV Concepts, manufacturer and creator of the Big Top Cupcake(TM) brand, today announced their official Guinness World Record title for the 'World's Largest Cupcake.' Weighing in at 1,316 pounds, and measuring four and one half feet tall and six feet wide, the massive cupcake was unveiled at the 2009 Think Pink Rocks event. Proceeds from slices of the confectionary masterpiece supported breast cancer charities.

Accustomed to doing things in a big way, Laurie Braden, president of Global TV Concepts and creator of Big Top Cupcake(TM) brand which is known for its larger-than-life take on the average dessert, has raised the bar with its 'largest cupcake ever made' title, beating the current record of 1,224 pounds. Braden's idea: to create this record-breaking cupcake - call attention to - and raise money for - breast cancer research, screening and treatment by selling pieces of the "World's Largest Cupcake". This mega-confection was made of delicious chocolate cake topped with pink icing with sprinkle toppings, each measuring five inches in length.
