The Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park, La Voz Del Anciano and El Ranchito Restaurant Celebrate!

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 23, 2009 -- Amidst the radiant colorful beauty of the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park, La Voz Del Anciano (The Voice of the Elderly), El Ranchito Restaurant and the smartest and brightest youth from L.G. Pinkston High School celebrate and acknowledge the contribution of Dallas public servants who diligently guard the safety, health, and well-being of our community.

Dallas Honorable Mayor Tom Leppert will be the keynote speaker and will be joined by key stakeholders and volunteers who work in the many fields of social work, medical industry, government entities, nonprofit organizations and many more. The youth from L.G. Pinkston, honor students from "The Chocolate Club" will be leading by example, serving the guests during the event. Mr. Isidro Aguirre is the honors teacher for AP social studies classes at Pinkston High School. Mr. Aguirre recently won an "Outstanding Teacher" of the Year award given by the Dallas Independent School District and Dallas Achieves Committee. He is also the current sponsor of the Chocolate Club which serves as the school's Community Service Organization. Several students participated in a contest for developing the logo for the "Children's Compassionate Circle" a program of La Voz Del Anciano which teaches children compassion and empathy and whose donations help other less fortunate children, who now live with their grandparents.

The winner will be recognized and the logo will be unveiled at the event. "It is an opportunity to showcase our young people's talents and leadership skills. Partnering with La Voz Del Anciano is the perfect setting for the youth to appreciate the wisdom, respect, dignity, experience and legacy that the elderly in our community represent," says N
