Baden Elementary School holds VisionWalk to Fight Blindness

s family are participating in the 3rd Annual Baltimore VisionWalk taking place on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Rash Field. All donations from the Baden Elementary walk will go to his team, “TEAM BJORN,” in support of the Baltimore VisionWalk.

Each class at Baden will compete to raise the most money at the “mock” walk. The class that raises the most funds will be treated to a catered lunch with special guest, Ginuwine. The winning class will also cut the ribbon at the start of the Baltimore VisionWalk on Saturday, June 5. Following are the details for the event at Baden Elementary School:

What: Baden Elementary VisionWalk in Support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness

When: Friday, May 28, 2010
10:00AM – Pre-K – 2nd grade VisionWalk
11:00AM – 3rd – 6th grade VisionWalk
Lunch with Ginuwine to follow

Where: Baden Elementary School

Brandywine, MD 20613
Walk is taking place on the far soccer field

About the Foundation Fighting Blindess and VisionWalk:

The Foundation Fighting Blindness is the largest non-governmental source of funding for retinal degenerative disease research in the world and has risen over $370 million. Diseases such as macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, and Usher syndrome affect more than ten million Americans. VisionWalk is the national signature fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Since its inception in the spring of 2006, the program has raised more than $12 million to fund sight-saving research.
