SAN DIEGO, Calif., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- aTyr Pharma, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company discovering and developing a new class of naturally occurring proteins as biotherapeutics, will present at the Japan Biopharma Conference in Tokyo on Tuesday October 6. Jeff Watkins, CEO of aTyr Pharma, will provide an overview of aTyr Pharma's technology, product engine, and lead program based on naturally occurring resected proteins of the tRNA synthetases. The aminoacyl tRNA synthetases are universal and essential elements of the protein synthesis machinery found in all organisms, but human synthetases and their associated proteins have naturally occurring resected variants, called "resectins," with potent cell signaling activities that are vital to normal functioning of humans.
