Animal Dermatology Clinic Marina del Rey Announces Dr. Christina Restrepo, DVM Achieves Diplomate Status With the American College of Veterinary Dermatology

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Animal Dermatology Clinic Marina del Rey announces Dr. Christina Restrepo has achieved diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD).

Dr. Christina Restrepo graduated in 2003 from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Restrepo completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the renowned Animal Medical Center in New York City. She then practiced small animal medicine and surgery in Miami, Florida, where she gained further experience in dermatologic conditions and utilized her fluent Spanish language skills. This led to her acceptance of a dermatology residency position at the University of California at Davis, in 2005. Dr. Restrepo joined Animal Dermatology Clinic in Marina del Rey as a Dermatology Associate in 2007.

Dr. Restrepo obtained diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in August 2009. "I am very excited about becoming a board certified veterinary dermatologist. I have always had a passion for veterinary medicine and have a keen interest in dermatology. Working with Animal Dermatology Clinic at the Marina del Rey clinic allows me the opportunity to continue my professional growth and expand my clinical experiences. Achieving diplomate status is a tremendous accomplishment," says Dr. Christina Restrepo of Animal Dermatology Clinic Marina del Rey.

Dr. Restrepo joins an elite group of 200 veterinarians that have acquired diplomate status with the ACVD. The American College of Veterinary Dermatology is an organization formed under the auspices of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) to certify veterinarians with extensive post-graduate training as specialists in dermatology. The college is charged by the AVMA to maintain the highest standard of training and certification.
