Special Event to Benefit the Cancer Center at Children's Hospital of

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- aloft(SM) hotels, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) newest lifestyle brand, which opened in Philadelphia on 8.8.08, continues celebrating the Olympic spirit on Friday, September 12, 2008 by welcoming home and congratulating Olympic Gold Medalist Brendan Hansen.

A Philadelphia suburb and Havertown native, Hansen won the highest Olympic accolade alongside famed swimming teammate Michael Phelps in the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay in Beijing on August 16th. Of the hundreds of Olympic Summer Games US athletes, Hansen is one of twenty-two 2008 Olympic competitors with Philadelphia area connections.

The aloft Philadelphia Airport Hotel is honored to host this congratulatory event for Brendan Hansen. Emphasizing its national and local pride as well as its commitment to local charitable efforts, proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Cancer Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The event on Friday night will be a culmination of a day-long visit to the renowned hospital by Brendan Hansen.
