Nine employees raised more than $1,653 to support the charity by completing a 2.5K sponsored walk at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, Md.
"It was beautiful. It was in the upper 60s. Absolutely perfect," says Marie Dougherty, TAN's director of Sales and event co-organizer. "I enjoyed the interaction with the other walkers. It was a bonding experience."
Dougherty, along with co-organizer and sister Andrea Watkins, also raffled Orioles Fan Fest tickets within the company, raising an additional $181 for a total of $1,834.
"It's great to see TAN employees spend time together outside work raising funds for such a worthy cause," says company president Brad Callahan. Each month, TAN employees rally behind a chosen charity and raise funds to support it. In 2008, TAN employees donated more than $10,000 to charities like the Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Alopecia Areata Foundation and The MISS Foundation.
