Industry veteran takes helm to accelerate revenue growth

PARK CITY, Utah, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Zane Benefits announced today that Scott Halstead has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Halstead succeeds the company's founder, Paul Zane Pilzer, who will remain Chairman of the Board.

"Scott is the right leader for Zane Benefits at this time in our evolution," commented Pilzer. "His health benefits leadership and experience in transforming early-stage companies into profitable, high-growth enterprises over the last decade make him ideally suited to help achieve our strategic goals."

"Under Paul's direction, Zane Benefits has built impressive technology and established its thought leadership in transforming the way health benefits are delivered," said Halstead. "Every company in America struggles with the rising costs of providing health care to its employees. Our products and services deliver the cost-effective and sustainable benefit programs that employers nationwide need to remain competitive".

Prior to joining Zane Benefits, Halstead was Chief Executive Officer of WageWorks, Inc. During his tenure, the company grew from $6 million to more than $80 million in recurring revenue. Before joining WageWorks, Halstead held the position of Chief Operating Officer for eBenX Inc., which at that time was a publicly-held health and welfare benefits administrator.
