Husband and wife owners of specialty cake bakery put on their "game faces" to compete before the big game

(PRWEB) February 9, 2010 -- As the Saints and the Colts prepared to play in the most anticipated game of the year, husband and wife owners, Steven and Sophie Rojas Tallon, of Yummy Cakes and More put on their “game faces” to compete in the NFL Super Bowl Tailgate Cake Contest on Sunday. Sophie and her assistants decorated their cake with a detailed interpretation of the football field and placed second. The competition took place at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens as part of the Super Bowl XLIV Festivities.

Yummy Cakes and More is quickly becoming well known in South Florida for great tasting treats and amazing cake designs. Sophie was inspired to bake by her mother, and the original plan was to create cakes and other desserts for friends and family during the holidays. Eventually, her hobby turned into a full-blown specialty bakery creating custom cakes and more for businesses, schools, and special occasions. Recently, Steven encouraged his wife to put her “yummy” expertise to the test by entering into the NFL Super Bowl cake contest.

“Yummy Cakes and More was honored to participate in a cake decorating contest at the Super Bowl, and we are, of course, more thrilled to place second in a competition with such talented people,” said Steven Rojas Tallon, CEO. “We make it a priority to work just as hard on taste as we do on the art of our cakes, and this was an opportunity to prove that to a larger crowd. It was truly a fun-filled cake competition.”
