Date:3/17/2010

Longstanding CDH Relationship Remains Collaborative

WHEATON, Ill., March 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Life Care Services LLC (LCS) of Des Moines, Iowa, recently announced the acquisition of Wyndemere Senior Living Community in Wheaton, Ill., a senior living community in the western suburbs of Chicago. LCS was selected by the community's former owner, Central DuPage Hospital (CDH), after an extensive search to identify an organization with significant and proven expertise in senior care and the ability to enhance the senior living environment at Wyndemere.

"Our acquisition of Wyndemere Senior Living Community is perfectly aligned with our overall growth strategy," said Executive Vice President of Operations Management at LCS, Joel Nelson. "Wyndemere is an outstanding community with excellent resident satisfaction and wonderful, long-standing relationships in Wheaton, so we are excited to welcome them into our family of senior living communities."

Wyndemere Senior Living Community opened 18 years ago under the direction and ownership of CDH, and has become one of the area's most successful senior living communities. The community includes apartment and townhome residences; Westbridge, an assisted living community; and Wynscape, a full-service nursing and rehabilitation center.

As part of the transition, CDH and LCS will jointly make an additional $2 million capital investment in the Wyndemere campus. CDH Executive Vice President and CFO Jim Spear noted, "As a tribute to the residents of Wyndemere today and in the future, we are, along with LCS, making a significant investment in lifestyle improvements. Our investment is a parting gift to the Wyndemere residents and for LCS it is a reflection of their commitment going forward. In selecting LCS as Wyndemere's new owner, we feel we've found a new leader for the community who is truly committed to providing the highest quality of services and care in senior living today."

Erin Donaldson, an employee of LCS, was recently appointed as executive director to take over the leadership role of Joe Benson, Wyndemere's president under CDH ownership. "I'm thrilled to walk into such a well-managed, beautiful community," said Donaldson. "I know LCS will only enhance the excellence CDH has developed."

LCS has nearly 40 years of experience in owning and managing senior living communities throughout the United States and currently serves more than 23,000 residents in 28 states.  For more information about LCS, please visit www.LCSnet.com.
