Wright Conserve Hip Replacement Lawsuits Move Forward, as Bernstein Liebhard LLP Notes Issuance of Amended Discovery Plan in Federal Wright Hip Litigation

Wright Conserve hip replacement lawsuits continue to move forward in a federal multidistrict litigation now underway in U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia, Bernstein Liebhard LLP reports. On May 15th, the Court issued the litigation’s Second Amended Detailed Discovery Plan, which will govern discovery in the proceeding. Among other things, the Plan directs the parties to submit bellwether trial selections by October 18, 2013, and stipulates that all expert discovery in the Wright hip lawsuits will conclude by November 15, 2013. Wright Hip Lawsuits
All of the Wright hip lawsuits pending in the Northern District of Georgia allege use of the Wright Conserve Total Hip Implant System, Conserve Total A-Class Advanced Metal Hip Implant System, and the Conserve Resurfacing System resulted in the accumulation of excessive metal ions in recipients, many of whom were forced to undergo revision surgery.
