JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Soldier Ride, a program of Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) that provides key rehabilitation opportunities for wounded members of the armed services and raises public awareness for those severely injured during military service, proudly welcomes Boston Scientific as a national supporter.

"Boston Scientific's contribution will provide assistance to our nation's wounded warriors as they put their broken bodies and lives back together," said Woody Groton, Soldier Ride National Tour Director.

Boston Scientific will provide special dinner events throughout various 2009 Soldier Ride segments, which are designed to bring injured soldiers into communities for education and awareness-building visits. Additionally, the Company is collaborating with WWP for visits to Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center.

"Boston Scientific Neuromodulation is proud to support the Wounded Warrior Project and its important work with injured soldiers," stated Michael Onuscheck, President of Boston Scientific's Neuromodulation business. "Our focus is on helping individuals with disabling chronic pain to regain their ability to live independently, and the need for such assistance among veterans is particularly acute."
