eMed-ID Plans Thousands of Franchisees Nationally With More than 1,800 in Florida Alone

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- eMed-ID, the world's first medical identification franchise, announced today the launch of its low-cost, home-based franchise concept that provides a personal USB device to consumers containing their comprehensive medical history. eMed-ID is a simple way for consumers to document their private medical history on an easy-to-carry or wearable USB device. Using eMed-ID's proprietary software, the consumer's medical history can then be easily shared with a doctor, pharmacist or paramedic in lieu of filling out complicated medical forms.

eMed-ID represents a prime franchise opportunity given the current economic conditions by providing interested franchisees and Area Directors with a low-cost of entry. The company is currently offering qualified candidates a business opportunity with a total investment of less than $10,000. Three-year term financing is being offered to qualified candidates for approximately $38 a week. Area Directorships are also available for $29,950 to those interested in recruiting franchisees and owning a protected territory of 200,000 residents. In addition, the franchise provides Veterans a $2,450 discount and a three percent reduction on financing interest.

The company plans to recruit 20 Area Directors, representing more than 400 eMed-ID franchises throughout the country in 2009, with 1,800 franchises planned in Florida including 300 in Miami-Dade County alone.

"As the economy continues to falter, eMed-ID presents a great opportunity for entrepreneurs interested in starting their own home-based business with a low-cost of entry," said Lonnie Helgerson, President & COO, eMed-ID Franchising, LLC. "eMed-ID is a full-time solution for those out of work or a part-time proposition for those looking for a second stream of inc
