Forum organizers believe that the climate of transparency desired in commercial activities, and focus on infrastructure spending as a solution, also runs the potential hazard of opening, employees, customers, suppliers, and vendors of hard goods as well as professional services to identity fraud and theft.
The forum will mix presentations with attendee participation, focused on what helps to constitute sound policy and strategy to protect customer and employee privacy. One goal of the forum is to present useful common information, and another is allowing executive's opportunity to explain their own programs--what works, what needs improvement, and discuss the best way for companies to collaborate on creating a culture of privacy & security in the workplace.
In addition to contributions by the US Department of Homeland Security and the Orange County District Attorney's office, the forum sponsors include Goodwill of Orange County, Colony West Financial Services, SmallbizPrivacy Group and Heartland Payroll Services. The organizers went after companies with experience in not so common risk areas and vulnerabilities which will be covered in the forum to make the free program as valuable to employers as possible.
