Date:11/5/2009

NEW YORK, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolters Kluwer Health has announced the appointment of Anne Dabrow Woods, MSN, RN, CRNP, ANP-BC, to the new position of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in a move to strengthen the nursing strategy of its Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) journals and Ovid brands. LWW is a leading international publisher of medical and nursing journals; Ovid is the global leader in electronic medical, scientific, and academic information research solutions.

"I am delighted to have Anne in this new role as Chief Nursing Officer to help lead our nursing strategy and commitment to this important customer base for both LWW and Ovid," said Karen Abramson, President and CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health Medical Research. "Anne's nursing practice experience, combined with her editorial and publishing career, provides a unique perspective on the issues and information access needs of nursing professionals throughout their careers -- from education and research to clinical practice."

As CNO, Woods will lead the nursing strategy across both the LWW journals and Ovid businesses.
