Wolfson's HealthTransaction Network(R) Signs Four New Hospital Systems

Health Network Growing

BUFFALO, N.Y., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthTransaction Network(R) continues to build its innovative national, electronic healthcare network and has announced the participation of several new hospital systems and other healthcare providers.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Medina Memorial Health Care System, and MedFirst Urgent Care have signed long term agreements to participate in the Network. In addition, five independent physicians groups have agreed to join the Network and Bertrand Chaffee Hospital has made a verbal commitment to participate. Paul DeSantis, Bertrand Chaffee CEO, said, "signing the agreement at this point in time is just a technicality."

These four hospital system signings, along with the five physician groups, are in addition to TLC Health Network and Brooks Memorial Hospital, which were announced in late January. Joseph E. Wolfson, President and CEO of HealthTransaction Network(R), said, "these most recent signings increase the number of HTN Network locations to 31 in the Western New York Area."

Network transaction processing operations began in May 2008 with the implementation of merchant processing services at three of the five participating physician groups. In addition, the Company is currently in the final stages of preparing for the implementation of the remaining Network processing operations, including the issuance of consumer healthcare cards at participating hospital system sites. "The Company is on track to complete implementation of this new healthcare network in late August, 2008," Mr. Wolfson said.
