Wine Country's Salt-free Pioneer Reintroduces All-Natural Salt-free Spice Blends Online
Date:1/11/2013

Kelseyville, Ca. (PRWEB) January 11, 2013

When the Gage’s original company; Parsley Patch Salt-free Spice Blends, debuted in 1980, it was the pioneer in the all-natural salt-free spice blends niche. The company went on to become a cult favorite in the Specialty Foods and Natural Foods Industry, until the company was sold to McCormick in 1989.

Over the years, customers and friends begged the Gages to recreate their blends, which were lost one-by-one since they sold the business.

Long-time fans, like Jan Rosen of Rosen’s Cheesecakes, were especially “distraught” when the Sweet-Cinn was no longer available for her award-winning pumpkin cheesecake. Rosen was known to hand-deliver cheesecakes every week from their plant in Petaluma, California to Frank Sinatra’s home in Los Angeles.

So, when the final Parsley Patch Salt-free Blend was dropped from McCormick’s seasoning line in 2012, Gages vowed to recreate their salt-free blends in an organic version, now available online at http://www.engageorganics.com or http://www.amazon.com.

Now the Gages are joined in the new Engage Organics online business by their son, Jason Sherwood, who believes, too, in the company’s commitment to health and well-being. Sherwood wants to insure his generation, and his children’s generation, will have access to the health benefits of the highest-quality herbs and spices he grew up loving. Sherwood is especially pleased the blends are now 100% USDA certified organic; something that was not possible in the 1980’s.

So, the little wine country company with panache that was founded in 1980 is back in an organic form, harvested and packed in Potter Valley, Cal
