BOISE, Idaho, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- WinCo Foods , LLC announced today that it is voluntarily recalling some beef and ground beef items sold at some of its stores between May 9th and May 15th. This action is prompted by the expanded recall of beef products by the JBS Swift Beef Company, which yesterday voluntarily expanded its previously announced recall of beef products that could potentially be contaminated with E. coli 0157:H7 to approximately 380,000 pounds of assorted beef primal products.
Of the recalled 380,000 pounds, WinCo Foods received only 4 cases of beef (approximately 200 pounds) which were then shipped to one or more of the following WinCo Foods store locations for further processing and sale to the public:
