'Who's Who' Weight Specialist Martin Schiff, M.D., 86, Devoting Rest of Life to Spreading Truth About Diets, Won't Accept Compensation From Anyone, Sending Complete Guide Free to All
Date:7/31/2008

MARINA DEL REY, Calif., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Martin Schiff, M.D. has been a bariatric weight-control specialist in Los Angeles for more than half a century, as shown in "Who's Who in America," "Who's Who in the World," and "Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care."

"Diets and pills and junk don't work," Schiff contends. "Only you can help you," he asserts. "I've studied this for more than fifty-thousand hours, and I know that your weight is between your ears. The mind controls the body... Develop your controls. Mankind must attack the obesity epidemic with our brains."

Aristotle, Plato and Socrates are among the early thinkers from whom Dr. Schiff evolved his knowledge. Now he states unequivocally, "By controlling your weight by thinking, guiding and doing for yourself you develop the wherewithal to enjoy life to the utmost."

Dr. Schiff, who recently retired to his home near Los Angeles, will not accept any form of compensation. He offers his six-page weight-loss method free to all who telephone for it at (310) 827-9089. Meanwhile, the letters in his name, S-C-H-I-F-F, provide an easy way to remember the program:

Think, eat and stay slim.

C: CONSCIENTIOUSLY LEARNING AND DOING makes all things better... And the main "thing" is you!

H: HEALTH is improved when I eat correctly and shed unwanted pounds. I dine on lean meats, fish, chicken, low-fat and low-calorie cheeses. Proteins like these are desirable. They are the source of life and the primary ingredient for good health. Also fresh and freshly frozen fruits and vegetables are vital.

I: I enjoy exercising my
