When Romance Goes Wrong: Lawyers at Console & Hollawell Warn Men of Hidden Dangers in Marriage Proposal Plans

An engagement ring hidden inside food can present a safety risk, according to a recent NBC News article reporting on the much-publicized case of a woman forced to visit the hospital for X-rays after ingesting an engagement ring hidden inside a milkshake. Catastrophic marriage proposals over the past few years have included intended brides choking on rings, hot-air balloon collisions, and downed planes carrying “Will you marry me?” signs. As a personal injury attorney who has helped victims of accidents for nearly 20 years, Richard P. Console Jr. of Console & Hollawell has heard more than his share of proposal horror stories.
