When Romance Goes Wrong: Lawyers at Console & Hollawell Warn Men of Hidden Dangers in Marriage Proposal Plans
Date:3/14/2013

Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) March 14, 2013

An engagement ring hidden inside food can present a safety risk, according to a recent NBC News article reporting on the much-publicized case of a woman forced to visit the hospital for X-rays after ingesting an engagement ring hidden inside a milkshake. Catastrophic marriage proposals over the past few years have included intended brides choking on rings, hot-air balloon collisions, and downed planes carrying “Will you marry me?” signs. As a personal injury attorney who has helped victims of accidents for nearly 20 years, Richard P. Console Jr. of Console & Hollawell has heard more than his share of proposal horror stories. From a unique legal and safety-minded perspective, Console cautions men about the dangers that can strike while proposing marriage and urges them to plan ahead to minimize any dangers to themselves or their intended brides-to-be.

“Deciding to marry is a huge step for both women and men, so it’s no wonder that some men go to great lengths to get the proposal just right,” Console said. “Unfortunately, clever surprises and elaborate plans have the potential to go disastrously wrong. If you want to hide a ring inside food or literally take your relationship to new heights for your proposal, use caution to prevent accidents. You want your marriage proposal to be memorable for the right reasons – not because you or your bride-to-be had to go to the hospital.”

Console illustrates the risks through anecdotes of the most dangerous marriage proposals to make the news in his latest article, “Dangerous Proposals: Don’t Try These at Home.” Console explores real-world safety hazards and urges men to keep caution in mind when planning their big, romantic moment so that their proposal goes off without a hitch.
