Practice Manager Notes Ease of Use, Time Savings
TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Sage Software Healthcare, Inc. has announced that West Michigan Orthopaedics, a two-site orthopedic specialty organization based in Grand Rapids, Mich., is moving to the Intergy by Sage practice management system from its predecessor, The Medical Manager by Sage.
The three-physician group had been on The Medical Manager since 1994, according to Practice Manager Heather Duhr. While the product provided her with the information she needed to manage the organization, exporting and capturing that data was time consuming in the older practice management system. Now, Duhr will obtain the same information for her physicians with a just few clicks.
"I am constantly exporting data which is valuable for our business," Duhr said. "With Intergy, I get all the data I need at the click of a button. I really like The Medical Manager, but when I viewed Intergy in use at another practice, I knew it was the right system for us."
Duhr notes the value of analysis. She examines everything from referring physician orders, to fee schedules and updates, to the practice's top 20 codes. It's critical information for the organization's growth.
Perhaps even more importantly, Intergy is more in line with what their newer physicians expect.
"We have newer physicians now on board," Duhr said. "They want to do more work outside of the office, and to view data from home or the hospital." With the Intergy by Sage practice management system, the physicians can have access -- access to demographics, calendars, schedules -- from any place.
