Practice Manager Notes Ease of Use, Time Savings
TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Sage Software Healthcare, Inc. has announced that West Michigan Orthopaedics, a two-site orthopedic specialty organization based in Grand Rapids, Mich., is moving to the Intergy by Sage practice management system from its predecessor, The Medical Manager by Sage.
The three-physician group had been on The Medical Manager since 1994, according to Practice Manager Heather Duhr. "I am constantly exporting data which is valuable for our business," Duhr said. "With Intergy, I get all the data I need at the click of a button. I really like The Medical Manager, but when I viewed Intergy in use at another practice, I knew it was the right system for us."
Duhr notes the value of analysis. She examines everything from referring physician orders, to fee schedules and updates, to the practice's top 20 codes. It's critical information for the organization's growth.

"We have newer physicians now on board," Duhr said. "They want to do more work outside of the office, and to view data from home or the hospital." With the Intergy by Sage practice management system, the physicians can have access -- access to demographics, calendars, schedules -- from any place.
"It's the driving force for new systems," Duhr adds. "Today's physicians want patient information at their fingertips."
Duhr didn't take the decision lightly, however. She reviewed a number
of HIT systems from other companies. She came back to Sage Software in
large part due to the service she's received from t
