The fundraiser for Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation will unveil six, new Nike shoes designed by patients and featuring a tag sharing the child's story. Attendees will be able to meet the "designers," bid on autographed shoes, and enjoy food and beverages.
Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking Xandra T. McKeown is also the President of the Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation. She said, "Last year children from every county in Oregon, Southwest Washington and beyond made more than 155,000 visits to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. So it is with real pleasure that West Coast Bank sponsors the Freestyle to raise funds for an institution that serves all of our communities."
Sue Nicol, Executive Director of Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation, said, "Doernbecher relies on the generosity of both individual and corporate donors to provide the urgently needed support to the programs of Doernbecher. Without the enthusiastic dedication of West Coast Bank and other leading community businesses, it would be difficult for Doernbecher to provide excellent care to so many children across the region. We are honored to have West Coast Bank as our partner in improving the healthcare of all children."
With nationally recognized programs in pediatric heart surgery,
neurosurgery, cancer, and metabolic diseases, Doernbecher Children's
Hospital provides primary and specialized care to more than 56,500 children
each year from Oregon, Southwest Washington, and beyond. As part of OHSU,
the state's only academic medical center, Doernbecher combines healing,
