West Coast Bank Sponsors Reach the Beach Cycling Fundraiser to Support the American Lung Association

May 16, 2009 race offers four routes for cyclists of all abilities

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., April 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- West Coast Bank (Nasdaq: WCBO) is a corporate sponsor of the 19th Annual Reach the Beach bike ride on Saturday, May 16, 2009, the official start of the Oregon cycling season. Four different route options from Portland, Salem, Amity and Grand Ronde ensure that the American Lung Association fundraiser is perfect for all cyclists. Each participant raises support for the organization in this premier Oregon cycling event.

West Coast Bank VP-Relationship Manager Jan Jensen is also the president of the American Lung Association of Oregon. She is recruiting company team members to participate in ride in addition to hosting the Portland starting point and the Pacific City-Cape Kiwanda finish line.

Regional President Dave Hansen said, "West Coast Bank's sponsorship of Reach the Beach serves customers in our bank market area. Cycling enthusiasts and bank employees alike team together on this worthwhile event to raise funds for the American Lung Association."
