WellPoint Announces Webcast of its Conference with Investment Community

INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE: WLP) today announced that it will conduct a live webcast of its Investor Conference on Tuesday, February 24, 2009. The meeting will be hosted by Angela F. Braly, president and chief executive officer of WellPoint, Inc., and will feature several presentations by the senior leadership of the company.

The event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) and conclude by approximately 12:30 p.m. EST. All interested parties are invited to listen to a webcast of the conference by visiting www.wellpoint.com and selecting the "Investor Info" link. Following the event, a webcast replay will be available at www.wellpoint.com for two weeks.

To listen to the live webcast, please visit WellPoint's website at least 15 minutes early to download and install any necessary audio software. Individuals who listen to the webcast will be presumed to have read WellPoint's most recent filings with the SEC, including but not limited to its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2007, and its Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q for the reporting periods of 2008.
